’Ett Hem’ and Akademibokhandeln launch event at Nationalmuseum
Last week Akademibokhandeln and Bookmark Förlag invited guests to a magical night at Nationalmuseum in Stockholm, Sweden. The event was to celebrate the launch of the new book ‘Ett hem: Carl & Karin Larssons värld’ by Bookmark Förlag and Akademibokhandeln’s new Carl & Karin Larsson collection that will hit stores all around Sweden on May 4th.
‘Ett hem: Carl & Karin Larssons värld’ is a new book where the Swedish author and influencer Elsa Billgren invites you to one of Sweden’s most famous estates, Carl Larsson-gården Sundborn. When Carl and Karin Larsson made the decision to move back home to Sweden after several years abroad, they were gifted a small cottage called Lilla Hyttnäs in Sundborn by Karin’s father. The cottage in Dalarna became Carl’s and Karin’s joint art project where their artistic talents resulted in a remarkably modern and personal architecture, with bold colors and interior design. The new book will provide a historical context combined with beautiful photos to give all admirers of the turn-of-the-century artists the chance to discover their greatest work of all: the home.
With photos by Mira Wickman, texts by Ulrika Ewerman, design by Bea Hellman and concept and styling by Elsa Billgren, the book ‘Ett Hem – Carl & Karin Larssons värld’ gives a unique insight into one of Sweden’s most famous homes.
All of the products from Akademibokhandeln’s new Carl & Karin Larsson collection were beautifully displayed at the event together with furniture from Möbelmästarna.
Influencer and stylist Elsa Billgren and writer Ulrika Ewerman spoke about their work with the new book ‘Ett Hem – Carl & Karin Larssons värld’.
Akademibokhandeln’s collection features motifs from famous Carl Larsson paintings and artwork from textiles by Karin Larsson on products such as notebooks, puzzles and calendars under Akademibokandeln’s private label “Kollektion Stora A”.
‘Ett hem: Carl & Karin Larssons värld’ and Akademibokhandelns Carl & Karin Larsson collection will be available in stores starting May 4th.
