Rodebjer x Carl Larsson – an ode to the Swedish painter’s idyllic scenes

Swedish brand Rodebjer’s latest capsule collection pays tribute to Carl Larsson by translating his famous watercolors into wearable prints.

Rodebjer is a Scandinavian fashion brand known for its eclectic and expressive collections with a conscious approach. Founded in New York in 2000 by Carin Rodebjer, the company celebrates unapologetic womanhood and a carefree attitude with a mission to design pieces that can be worn today, tomorrow and far into the future.

Carl Larsson’s World Reimagined in Fabric

This new collection features signature Rodebjer pieces, like the Agave caftan, presented in Carl Larsson’s visual world in mirrored prints and repeated motifs, transferred to all-over prints.

The collection was photographed at the Carl Larsson Estate, Carl and Karin Larsson’s colourful and eclectic home in Sundborn, Dalarna – a home and garden that was transformed into a groundbreaking artistic expression for its time. Iconic Pieces in the Capsule Collection

The Kimberley Dress

The Kimberley dress is made from a blend of silk that lends it a hint of structure. Shaped to a relaxed fit, it fastens with an artful button at the front, and is detailed with pleats at the waist. Its relaxed silhouette creates a canvas for its artful print, based on the painting The Studio (Ateljén) from the book One Home.

The Marge Dress

The Marge dress arrives illustrated with Carl Larsson’s artwork Lisbeth Fishing from 1898. Cut to a relaxed silhouette, it falls easily down the figure, and is detailed with one raglan and one dropped sleeve for added visual interest.

The Era blouse

The Era blouse is inspired by a piece worn by Karin Larsson. Illustrated with a motif that pays tribute to the Swedish painter, this silk-blend design is shaped with a chimney collar and flounces at the shoulders.

The Frame Ulf Blouse and Leianne Skirt

The Frame Ulf blouse and Leianne skirt pair perfectly. Crafted from a blend of silk, it has a square neckline and short sleeves detailed with flounces for a touch of movement.
