When Little Anna Had a Cold

By Inger and Lasse Sandberg

Anna is a little girl who likes to do things by herself. She likes to build things and she prefers to make her own decisions. She knows how to, for she is a clever little girl! She also has a good friend, the world’s tallest uncle. Tall Uncle is tall and thoughtful, and little Anna is small and very brave. Together they make a great team! Little Anna has a terrible cold. It has her lying in bed and she needs a scarf wrapped around her neck. Tall Uncle pokes his head in through the window to keep sick little Anna company. Anna, of course, is sneezing a lot, and then, she sneezes Tall Uncle’s hat, his jacket, and even his mustache away! She sneezes and sneezes… until she sneezes the cold away! First published in 1966, the book’s artwork and style were updated in 2014.
