A new Little Ghost Laban film to premiere later this year
After years of anticipation, Little Ghost Laban, created by writer Inger and illustrator Lasse Sandberg, is returning to cinemas in a brand-new animated film premiering in October this year. The film is produced by Art & Bob and distributed by SF Studios.
Little Ghost Laban has been a beloved children’s book character since he first saw the light of day in 1965. Inger and Lasse Sandberg’s books about Lilla Spöket Laban have been published in 33 languages ââand is one of Sweden’s most famous children’s book characters. Laban was given new life in the early 2000s when Per Åhlin directed four animated feature films about the character, films that are still playing in cinemas around Sweden today.
The new Little Ghost Laban film is directed by Lasse Persson with a script written by Jan Vierth, Anders Sparring and Lena Ollmark. The film is produced by Art & Bob in co-production with SF Studios, Slugger Film and Film i Skåne. SF Studios distributes the film in the Nordics.

The Little Ghost Laban film will premiere in October 2024.
