Sarah Sheppard is an author and illustrator. After a university class in paleontology, Sarah combined her profession with a passion for science and dinosaurs, and she wrote and illustrated the hugely popular and critically acclaimed book Lots of Dinosaurs, published in 2008. Since then, she has continued to write and illustrate several non-fiction books for children, always with a quirky mix of humor, facts, and fantasy.
Her book “Important Maps for Daydreamers” and “Adventurers” has brought the curiosity for our amazing planet for tens of thousands of children about all the amazing, exciting and mysterious things you can find in the world.

TV-series Premiered 2021
The animated TV series Dino Deluxe premiered on CMORE in the spring of 2021 and was produced by SF Studios. The show features a catchy theme song created by Jocke Åhlund from the band Teddybears. Following its success in Sweden, the series was sold to several neighboring countries, including Norway, Finland, and Denmark.
The first season of Dino Deluxe consists of 10 episodes, each lasting seven minutes. This engaging and educational series is designed for children aged 3 to 7 and combines infotainment with fascinating facts about dinosaurs. Each episode explores different aspects of these prehistoric creatures, such as their size, lifestyle, and evolutionary relatives. The series also delves into the events surrounding the extinction of dinosaurs, offering young viewers a fun and informative journey into the age of these ancient reptiles.
Award-Winning Book
Sarah Sheppard was awarded the Carl von Linné Plaque in 2014, for Best Non-fiction Children’s Book “Important Maps for Adventurers and Daydreamers” and for her collected works.
