The nominees for Finland’s Sports Book of the Year 2024 have been announced and we are happy to share that Aino Havukainen and Sami Toivonen’s newest book the sports-themed Tatu and Patu – Ready, Steady, Go! is among the six nominees.
Tatu and Patu – Ready, Steady, Go! (Tatu ja Patu – Paikoillenne, valmiit, hep!) by Aino Havukainen and Sami Toivonen is a rib-tickling take on the joy of movement in which the hugely popular Oddville duo explore different ways of moving in the true Tatu and Patu style. The book seeks to inspire people of all ages to get up and move.
It’s time to get moving with Tatu and Patu! At the beginning of the book, Tatu and Patu are glued to their screens, and Veera has to do everything she can to get the boys up and outside to spend time together. But when the duo get moving, nothing can hold them back. Tatu and Patu enjoy physical activities, exercise, and professional sports in the true Oddville style. Readers will get to accompany Tatu and Patu as they go on a forest hike, get a taste of pro tennis life and even represent Oddsville at an athletics championship. Tatu and Patu – Ready, Steady, Go! is an utterly funny take on the joy of movement in all possible forms including some figure walking moves that everyone can give a try.
The Sports Book of the Year prize is granted to the best Finnish sports book of the year. The 45th Sports Book of the Year award winner will be revealed on January 20, 2025, at the TAHTO Center for Finnish Sports Culture at the Olympic Stadium.
