Matti Hagelberg’s new four-part series kicks off!
Sinking Ateneum tells an alternative history of the Ateneum building. A memoir about the students and teachers of the School of Cartoon Art at the University of Art and Design in 1979-82, it balances on the border between fact and fiction. It may be that not everything went exactly as the book says. Or did it?
Sinking Ateneum 1 was shortlisted for the 2025 Comics Finlandia Prize.
