Moomin Arabia unveils its final Moomin 80 collection, Festive Moments
Moomin Arabia’s Festive Moments collection captures seasonal joy with magical items for gifting or keeping. Ice Swimming ceramics and decor add winter cheer and the Living Room collection features textiles, making the home cozier. The holiday season has never been merrier!
The Festive Moments collection is so far the most extensive variety of items launched at the same time by Moomin Arabia. It includes ceramics and textiles for the kitchen, serving and setting the table, and dressing home to the festive atmosphere for spending quality time together with family and friends. As the 0.3-litre mug is the most iconic of all Moomin Arabia items, it’s also the crown jewel of the Festive Moments collection—a beautiful staple piece to start growing a whole set around it.
In the Moomin mindset, giving meaningful gifts is also a fun part of the season – be it someone’s special day or one of the common holidays.
”The collection is like a giant gift box where you can pick your favourites for each room and nook at home to gift or keep,” says Moomin Arabia’s Global PR and Communications Manager, Mirka Paasikangas. ”It allows you to create a coherent festive look for your home. And for gifting, it offers a vast variety of items and sets to choose from. It’s also common that people collect, for example, tableware for their family members or friends growing the set piece by piece. The Festive Moments collection is perfect for that.”
The collection will be available for a limited time until the end of March 2026.
Celebrating with toasts and fireworks – everyone’s invited!
On the Festive Moments’ items, we see an evening fest in the Moominvalley lit by fireflies, glowworms, and fireworks. Everyone is invited and the Moomin family shares an abundant garden table with the valley’s residents, eating pancakes and other treats and enjoying each other’s company. The gaze is fixed on Moomintroll, who stands high on a chair, enthusiastically raising a toast.
The colour scheme is dominated by burgundy combined with pale red, warm yellow, and light blue. A lush background with trees, flowers, and many curious small details creates a rich, atmospheric scene.
It’s a special illustration that celebrates the joy and gratitude of being together and finding magic in everything around us. Its designer, Parvati Pillai from Moomin Arabia’s in-house team, took inspiration from Tove Jansson’s novel, Finn Family Moomintroll.

The book was first published in 1948, three years after the first Moomin story, The Moomins and the Great Flood (1945) – the focus piece of the Moomin 80 anniversary celebrations. Both share the same, very moominous message of the importance of coming together to share love and cherish friendships.
“In the Moomin stories, the Moomins often have both planned and spontaneous parties at their house for everyone who happens to come by. Everyone’s invited, as the anniversary slogan goes,” says Paasikangas.
The Festive Moments collection will be available from 30 October 2025 until to the end of March 2026 or until the stock lasts from moominarabia.com online store, Moomin Arabia stores, Moomin.com, Moomin Shops, and widely from retailers.
Moomin Arabia’s this year’s Winter Seasonal Collection, Ice Swimming, is the final one featuring the Moomin’s winter sports theme. For the first time, the seasonals are exclusively available only from the Moomin Arabia’s and Moomin channels.
Take a brisk start to the winter with the seasonal ceramics
Like the previous three winter seasonal dishes (Winter Wonders 2022, Sliding 2023, Ski Jumping 2024), this year’s illustration is based on Tove Jansson’s Moomin’s Winter Follies comic. This time, the story circles around the familiar sports enthusiast, Mr Brisk, who says his secret to staying fit and healthy is ice swimming. Mymble and Snorkmaiden are charmed by his sporty spirit. Eager to impress them too, Moomintroll does not hesitate to plunge into the ice cold water.
The illustrations on the mug and the bowl show Moomintroll jumping into the cold water. The pastel tones with pink, red, and yellow accents match the previous years’ ceramics.
This year’s other seasonal novelties, the Winter Sports coaster set and a mini bauble set, welcome winter home and are great choices for seasonal gifting. Both are sets of four and feature sporty illustration details from the last four winter seasonal collections – Winter Wonders, Sliding, Ski Jumping, and the new Ice Swimming.
The Ice Swimming winter seasonal collection and the Winter Sports coaster set and mini bauble set will be available for a limited time, from 2 October 2025 to 28.2.2026 or until the stock lasts. A brand new collection for the living Room
The new Living Room is Moomin Arabia’s first full collection focused on the coziest room at home. Starting in August, the first items include wool and organic cotton textiles.
In honor of the Moomin 80 anniversary, the collection takes us to the first pages of the first Moomin story, The Moomins and the Great Flood.
In the illustrations, making their journey in the great forest with a giant glowing tulip lighting their path, Moominmamma and Moomintroll meet Sniff. The timid little creature joins them on the quest to find Moominpappa and a home with many peculiar encounters ahead.
More living room items will follow this September already. The collection crafted from recirculated ceramics is a lovely addition to the living room textiles. It includes a photo frame, a filled candle, a small vase, a ceramic coaster set, and two adorable plates with Moomintroll shapes. The collection is made of 21% recirculated ceramics from internal factory waste and 79% virgin stoneware.
The Living Room textiles collection will be available from the mid-August until the end of the Moomin 80 anniversary year, 2025, from moominarabia.com online store, Moomin Arabia stores, Moomin.com, Moomin Shops and at selected retailers.
