Sofie Sarenbrant’s hugely succesful crime series optioned by Breakable films!
Breakable Films has acquired the rights to Sofie Sarenbrant’s hugely successful crime series about detective Emma Sköld. The first book about Emma Sköld, Vila i Frid, was published in 2012 and has been followed by ten more books that together sold over 5 million copies in 16 countries.
Sofie Sarenbrant’s latest book in the series, The Parasite, was published in May and has so far sold over 150,000 copies and was the most listened to audiobook of the summer on Storytel, Nextory and Bookbeat. Sofie Sarenbrant won the award as Swedish crime writer of the year for the fourth time in 2022.

The books about Emma Sköld have been praised by both critics and readers for their fast pace, their intelligent plots and their underlying and engaging themes. Script work has already begun and each season will be based on one of the books in the best-selling book series.
