Moomin Family Day in Oslo Attracted Thousands of Fans for a Magical Experience
The Moomin Family Day returned to Oslo for its second edition, attracting thousands of visitors for a day full of fun and adventure. Held in the central area of Oslobukta, families gathered to celebrate all things Moomin.
Jointly organized by Moomin Characters, Carucel Eiendom, Rights & Brands, and a variety of local partners and Moomin licensees, this year’s Moomin Family Day (Mummi Familiedag) on September 21st expanded to offer even more activities, bringing joy to children and adults alike. Participation increased, and new sponsors and licensees contributed to the vibrant atmosphere.
Families had the chance to experience the magical world of the Moomins through a variety of free attractions. From arts and crafts stations to treasure hunts, the day was packed with activities for children of all ages.
Cappelen Damm, the Norwegian publisher of the Moomin books, hosted storytime sessions, captivating young audiences with tales from Moominvalley.
Villa Paradiso screened episodes of the animated series Moominvalley in collaboration with Viaplay, while serving food on Moomin Arabia tableware. This combination of entertainment and dining gave families a chance to wind down while still being part of the Moomin experience.
The success of this year’s Moomin Family Day reaffirms the enduring appeal of the Moomin universe for the whole family. The plans for the next edition of the family day are already in the works.
