Tuula Karjalainen

Tuula Karjalainen (b. 1942), Ph.D, is an art historian and non-fiction writer based in Helsinki. She has worked as the director of the Helsinki City Art Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma, and as an assistant professor in the Department of Art History at the University of Helsinki. She has authored several non-fiction books, including the 2013 biography, Tove Jansson: Work and Love, which has been published in 13 languages to date.
