Kai Vaalio (b. 1986) is a Finnish comic artist and an illustrator. Vaalio graduated as a graphic designer from Lahti Institute of Design in 2018 and he also has a degree in audiovisual communications from Lahti College of Arts and Crafts from 2005.

Vaalio has illustrated a dozen children’s books so far. They’ve sold over 200 000 published copies in all formats in Finland, Denmark, and Germany.
