When the world-famous artist couple Carl and Karin Larsson made the decision to move back home to Sweden after several years abroad, they were gifted a small cottage by Karin’s father.

After meeting at the Scandinavian artists’ colony in Grez-zur-Loing outside Paris, Carl and Karin Larsson started to work together in strong symbiosis and Karin’s creative power and artistic taste became a major component in Carl’s art.
