Rights & Brands appointed agent for Sally’s Dad, one of Denmark’s bestselling children’s book series
We are excited to share that Rights & Brands will represent the popular Danish book series’ Sally’s Dad, Eddie and Anthony & Grandma for publishing rights worldwide.
Almost a decade ago two friends, author Thomas Brunstrøm and illustrator Thorbjørn Christoffersen came up with the character Sally’s Dad. Since 2015 they have created a handful of picture books in the series which are hugely popular with Danish families with young children.
Sally’s Dad is a present-day classic in Denmark, one of the country’s bestselling series with sales of more than 1 million copies across all formats. This fresh, energetic and hilarious children’s book series tells about Sally, her little brother Eddie and their embarrassing, but also extremely funny dad who comes up with the most far-fetched ideas. The series is penned by bestselling author Thomas Brunstrøm and brought to life with illustrator Thorbjørn Christoffersen’s vibrant illustrations. The series has great interest in international markets, being a bestseller in Poland. Translation rights have been sold to several territories including the latest book deal with Finnish publisher Kvaliti. A theatrical production based on the book series Sally’s Dad is currently ongoing in Denmark. Also, Nordisk Film has acquired the Film/TV rights and a film adaptation is in the making.

Eddie goes to kindergarten and has an impressive imagination which often sees him having a few too many good ideas of his own. Anthony and Grandma is a brilliant new picture book series by the author/illustrator duo behind the bestselling Sally’s Dad series.
