Greedy Gull

By Linn Henrichson

Meet the villainous magpies, chaffinches and doves in this
imaginative and evocative picture book that perfectly portrays the spirit of these sneaky beaks.

Greedy Gull is a daring and skilled snack swiper that enjoys its summer days snatching food from unsuspecting marketgoers.

Greedy Gull heads south for the winter. It circles over squares, markets and outdoor cafés, scouting for ice cream, pizza and falafel. But stealing is no easy task, as competition is fierce. The mischievous gull needs a master plan to outwit everyone else.

Greedy Gull is a debut picture book exploring foul play and deception themes. Linn Henrichson’s skillfully lyrical text, combined with the bold and expressive illustration, results in a great dialogue.

Reviews

“It invites us into a visual world that is both modern and rooted in a long tradition of Nordic visual storytelling.”

Yle

“With a colour palette reminiscent of Stig Lindberg's picture book Krakel Spektakel köper en klubba, a lively graphic style, a generous dose of humour and a sprinkling of amusing rhymes, picture book debutant Linn Henrichson creates a fast-paced drama about a seagull that is as mischievous as it is streetwise. Or perhaps we should say a trickster seagull.”

Dagens Nyheter

“Impresses with its creatively anarchic visual storytelling.”
