Belzebubs

By JP Ahonen

Juggling work and family can be… hell. Modern Family meets the Addams Family in this irresistible trve kvlt documentary that focuses on the everyday challenges all families have: raising the kids, getting your black metal band going, summoning demons, and well, you know how it is.

JP Ahonen combines sweet everyday humour with a strange touch and a dash of Lovecraftian horror, which makes Belzebubs one hell of a read. What began as a simple improvised therapy webcomic has now evolved into a huge cross-media concept combining music, animation and storytelling in general. The first Belzebubs book received rave reviews and has been published in 13 languages.

Reviews

“This collection of one-page webcomics weaves slice-of-life drama and mockumentary-style humor into a pentagram of laughs, relatable moments, and a love for black metal… As twisted as it is sidesplitting.”

—Publisher's Weekly (Starred Review)

“Even if you’re not a black-metal-loving,corpse-paint-wearing kind of goth, this comic is still for you.”

Sequential Tart (10/10)

“This webcomic has become a cult sensation... it’s a silly, Addams Family-esque family comedy with a perfect cartoony style.”
